Friday Morning Quickie

I had a few free hours on Friday morning so shot down to a favorite section on the Clutha river to swing a few flies with the Switch rod . It was cool morning after some snow had fallen overnight , the river was up slightly and had a tinge of colour .

Due to the higher water I tied on a big Black and Red Sex Dungeon streamer , something that would standout a bit more . After about 10mins of working the water I had my first fish to the net a nice 4.5lb rainbow that hit my fly just at the end of the swing and just off the shallow edge. Over the next hour of fishing I managed another 2 fish , both brownies around the 4lb mark. A fun couple of hours only a 10 min drive from home .....I feel so lucky to live in this piece of paradise !
